It’s no wonder so many of our favorite romantic movies and dramas happen during this season. The classic, musical about summer lovin', Grease (1978), where John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John show us the daily drama of a summer romance turned high school reunion. It's nostalgic, filled with great songs, and so muc fun!

(500) Days of Summer (2009) offers a more modern, melancholic take. Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel, it’s not a traditional love story, but it is an unforgettable one. Tom believes in a transforming, cosmically destined, lightning-strikes-once kind of love, while his coworker, Summer, doesn’t.

In The Summer I Turned Pretty, newcomer Lola Tung leads a YA love triangle that captures the confusion and magic of growing up.
